One of the most common questions from MP students is: "What NEET score do I need for MBBS abroad?" The NMC (National Medical Commission) mandates a valid NEET score for ALL Indian students seeking admission to foreign medical universities. Here's what you need to know for 2026 admissions.
Minimum NEET Eligibility (NMC Rules)
- General category: Minimum 50 percentile in NEET
- SC / ST / OBC: Minimum 40 percentile in NEET
- PwD (General): Minimum 45 percentile
- PwD (SC/ST/OBC): Minimum 40 percentile
These are NMC's minimum requirements. Individual universities may set higher cut-offs.
Country-wise NEET Requirements
Kyrgyzstan
Most Kyrgyzstan universities accept students with 150+ marks (qualifying percentile). KSMU and IHSM typically accept 120–150+ marks. Great option for students with lower NEET scores.
Russia
Russian universities typically require 150–200+ NEET marks. Top universities like Bashkir and Ryazan may require 200+. ECFMG-recognised universities are more competitive.
Georgia
Georgian universities generally accept 150+ NEET marks. GAU, EEU and Alte University each have their own internal cut-offs but broadly align with the NMC minimum.
Kazakhstan
KRMU and CISM accept 140–180+ NEET marks. Kazakhstan is a good mid-range option for students who narrowly missed top scores.
Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan universities accept the NMC minimum (qualifying percentile), making it an accessible option for students with 120–150+ marks.
Barbados (BIU)
BIU accepts the NMC minimum but due to its US-curriculum MD programme and ECFMG recognition, admission is competitive. Students with 300+ marks are preferred.
Other Eligibility Requirements
- Age: 17+ years on 31st December of the admission year
- 10+2 with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
- Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB (40% for SC/ST/OBC)
- Valid Indian passport (minimum 18 months validity)
- No IELTS required for most countries (English medium)
