I am pleased to serve as Executive Dean and to support you as you begin or continue your journey in medical education.

My role is to ensure that you receive a high-quality, well-structured education that prepares you for clinical practice with confidence, professionalism, and integrity. I provide leadership in academic strategy, curriculum development, quality assurance, and accreditation, while working closely with faculty and clinical partners to maintain strong teaching and learning environments across all training sites.

At the Medical Committee for Human Rights Convention in Chicago in March 1966, Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane." BIUSM aims to develop doctors who will work to end inequity and injustice.

The ECFMG Sponsor Note confirms that graduates of the University are eligible to apply for certification through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), subject to meeting all current ECFMG requirements.

ECFMG Certification is a fundamental requirement for international medical graduates seeking to pursue postgraduate medical training, licensure, and examination pathways in the United States, including the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).

This recognition reflects the institution's continued dedication to academic quality, comprehensive clinical education, and adherence to international medical education standards.

General Medical Council – United Kingdom

Bridgetown International University School of Medicine's Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree has met the acceptability criteria of the General Medical Council in the United Kingdom for the purpose of eligibility to apply for registration, subject to meeting the GMC's current requirements.

It affirms that graduates who successfully complete the full medical program may apply to sit the PLAB examination and pursue registration with the GMC, following the individual assessment process and fulfillment of all regulatory requirements in place at the time of application.

Eligibility to apply for GMC registration provides our graduates with the opportunity to pursue postgraduate training and professional pathways within the United Kingdom healthcare system. The designation reflects the University's dedication to academic quality, comprehensive clinical training, and preparation of its graduates for global medical practice.
